The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation
They offer a program for children who are affected by a loved one’s substances abuse. No child is turned away due to the inability to pay. Services are in FL, IL, MN, NY, OR And WA and are also virtual (online treatment).
Learn to Cope
An online support forum for families, friends, and loved ones who have someone in their lives who is struggling with addiction. The forum requires registration and is moderated.
Make the Connection
Connects Veterans, their family members, friends and other advocates with recovery information, local resources, and positive stories of recovery.
Nar-Anon Family Groups
The Nar-Anon Family Groups are mainly for those who are affected by the addiction problems of someone close to them. The focus is on doing something useful and constructive with their own lives – so they are able to be of help to others. There are in-person and online meetings.
Parents of Addicted Loved Ones
A Christian organization that provides education and support to parents.
Partnership for Drug Free Kids
Empowers families with information, support and guidance. The One-on-One section provides help through text, email or a phone call with one of their specialists to learn about steps that can be taken and what resources are available to help. Their Insurance Resource Center helps families better understand and use insurance for substance use care. In English and Spanish.
SAFEProject: The SAFE Locator
The Partnership to End Addiction and the SAFE Project developed an easy-to-use resource for families seeking help for substance use, called the SAFE Locator. This search tool provides information on treatment and a locator for finding family support services.
Smart Recovery Family & Friends
Provides easy-to-learn tools and support to help people dealing with addiction, and their loved ones. Meetings are available in-person and online.
