About this Site

The inspiration for this website followed the tragic death of a brilliant 29 year-old writer named Jacob Waletzky from a cocaine-induced heart arrhythmia.

ARG is an independent not-for-profit website. The purpose is to provide an easy to use guide to high quality addiction recovery resources that support healing on all levels – mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. ARG does not provide treatment services and does not accept contributions or paid advertising.

The site is produced and funded by Lucy Waletzky, MD, Jacob’s mother and psychiatrist who is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Lucy is assisted by Marsha J. Handel, MLS, a medical librarian, Integrative Family Medicine at Mount Sinai. The web site is designed and maintained by eostudios.
