Hey, son not using because he's been in and out of jail. He got married last summer, great party, nothing changed . He still thinks he can beat the system even after 15 years. He got a pass last Tuesday, got stabbed..round and round. Good news, I'm healthier, had to really assess my codependency and detach, some days tougher than others

Mom- -I can relate! My codependency issues brought to my knees- brought me to a new level of recovery and with everyday that I continue to detach with love and set boundaries with my adult son the lessons keep comng.

It's hard to believe when you are new to this disease, we want to think our situation is unique, sadly it isn't. I learned so many things when I was first here, 90 percent I didn't follow until I realized what I was doing was failing

GRANNY HERE!!! HOW ARE YA?? I SEE YOU ARE DOING BETTER BUT THINGS ARE STILL THE SAME. NOW THAT YOU HAVE REALIZED THINGS LIFE WILL GET BETTER. CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING. HOWS THE LITTLE GUY? ITS BEEN A WHILE SO I KNOW HE IS BIGGER, BUT HE STILL WITH YOU OR DO THE PARENTS HAVE HIM? MY GRANDKIDS ARE COMING UP ON THEIR 20TH BIRTHDAY NEXT MONTH. MY GS IS STARTING HIS FIRST REAL JOB THIS MONDAY AND MY GD IS TAKING ONLINE CLASSES FOR TEACHERS AIDE,AFTER GRADUATING WITH A 4.0 FROM HIGH SCHOOL. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS FILING TO GET GUARDIANSHIP IN 2011 & 2012 AND I WAS HERE ALL THE TIME GETTING ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO IN TAKING IN 2 14 YR OLDS. SEEMS LIKE AN ETERNITY AGO. IT HAS BEEN A HARD ROAD BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AND WOULDNT CHANGE A THING. GLAD YOU CHECKED IN. IAM NOT HERE LIKE I USED TO BE...LIFE IS HAPPENING, BUT I DO POP IN ONCE INA WHILE TO SAY HEY.
