I am a father of three children. I stayed abstinent from alcohol for almost 10 years. But now I find myself alone and has become a real alcohol addict. I drink when I feel all alone and regret it terribly the next day. Will any kind of AA/ any addiction treatment program help me? With one of my friends suggestion, I have taken appointment at Edgewood in Vancouver. But don't know whether these can be trusted. Has anyone been through such a treatment? I need support/ advice. What should I do?

Absolutely AA can help you.

Here's AA's HOW IT WORKS http://www.aa.org/assets/en_US/p-10..._howitworks.pdf

Here is AA's Promises http://www.singaporeaa.org/PDFs/The...AA_Promises.pdf

You think you are different ?? ... you sound just like me.
A garden variety alcoholic.

Find your local meetings and attend them.
They will save your life as they do for millions like us.

Go to your local detox if you have to but commitment to AA is what treats us.

All the best.
