Should I Be Worried?

I've been working on tapering off xanax for about 3 months now. I'm down to less than .25 mg per day. I've had horrible withdrawal symptoms even though I'm going slow. Intense nausea, headaches, light headedness, etc. I've been getting kind of freaked out because Ill suddenly get really woozy and feel like passing out, along with feeling overheated especially in my face. I don't know whether to be worried about it or not. Is this something anyone else has experienced while getting off xanax?

It sound like normal wd symptoms but check with your doctor. Benzo wd can be dangerous. Monitor your blood pressure and stay hydrated. Again...tell your doctor.

Laura:
Why did you go on Xanax in the first place?

I've sent my doctor an email but of course she won't be in till monday. I originally started because I have some big issues with anxiety and I really wanted some kind of help.

Am happy to have a plan in place. I know the WD's from benzos are horrendous and don't wanna go there.
