Been tapering for a few weeks and am now on 10 nurofen + 3 times a day or just 2 sometimes. This makes me wonder how many of these pills I actually end to function .ever since my addiction started 16 years ago I would have to take the exact number that I was taking at the time, if I was one short I would start to get anxious. Does any body know if I was to take 3 pills at a time for example that would be enough to stop withdrawal symptoms.has anybody else managed to taper down successfully and if so what number of pills is it when you start to feel any withdrawal symptoms. Thanks

I don't think there is any magic number everyone is different. I couldn't function with out taking atleast 80mg at twice a day.

There is no way to answer that accurately unfortunately because the medications work definitely for everyone. The problem is your tolerance goes up so eventually if your like me you'll find that even though you could function on them before, there is a point where you can't function on them no matter what.
