Supporting Long Term Recovery

Medications for opioid addiction are very helpful and effective. Yet to be successful over time it is also important to work on the thoughts, feelings, social issues and spiritual components of addiction. There are many ways to do this including support groups, yoga, prayer and meditation, counseling, exercise, art therapy, guided imagery, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and many more.

See these sections on our website to learn more about these approaches.
