Take it from me its possible to go cold turkey. I smoked freebase on a daily basis for 20 years. Spent 3 to 500 bucks a week on it. Then on my birthday 16 months ago i decided that its time to say bye bye to the demons. First 4 months were tough due to the urges and the dreams but now its all over. Im free finally. Oh by the way...i haven't had a cigarette in almost a month. Cold turkey too. Just cause i did it dont mean you could. It's worth a shot. Im 50 and i feel great.

It is very possible. I have quit cold turkey. Chances of relapse very high without treatment or even with. Something about the comedown does make people nasty. My man and I both had this problem when quitting. If you stick it out he may get less hostile. Not that withdrawal or post-acute withdrawal syndrome excuses his behavior, but it is nasty stuff.

As someone who has never joined any chat of any sort, who now wants any help I can get to get this sticky, nasty crack and powder out of my life -- I was grateful for people's replies to very old posts.
