Yes video games can be addictive. I've seen firsthand what it did to my younger sisters sons. She says all their friends want to do is play video games as though she can't do anything, and says at least their not on drugs. But is it a mental illness because the WHO decided? I'm no doctor but will say its a problem that can stent the growth of the young, and old. The sad thing is they miss out on life.

Yes excessive gaming might not be the mental disorder the WHO says. But gaming addiction is real.. The excess gamer probably has. many of the traits other addicts have.

I've had more problems with gamers over the last few years than my entire life. How or why to gamers stay up 24-36 hrs strait? But that's part of the issue because to stay awake they're probably using drugs. I also noticed that different gamers that don't know each other that I know of have the exact same habits including extreme pot use. Which means they are probably mixing a stimulant or energy drug in there. So the gaming addict has three addictions-the game, the pot and the stimulants they use to play.
