Nanaluv- just read all your posts. You are absolutely right about not eating. Eat!! Force yourself. Chew slow..healthy things. Drink smoothies. All of this will speed up brain recovery. I relate to what you said about feeling worse at times the more days..but that does change. Someone said-I think NY to walk...ride a bike..definitley..especially when anxiety high. (or better-regularly so it DOESN'T get so bad) hang in there...

I appreciate everyone' help. I seriously don't know how many hours I paroused this site before actually jumping in...I'm still xtremely week my hands keep cramping up, and nothing stays in my body... it goes straight through.. I don't unerstand when I first started reading the site i was picking up that it took about a week day 3 the hardest. My first week was just anxiety not real physical WD...I just know I want to have some clear thoughts.. My Dr refilled a RX of Xanax .25 mg but i haven't picked it up. I don't think I have a problem with them.

27 days 648 hours.... my husband keeps giving me little goals, just get to 30 days..I'm suppose to be at a work conference next week in NOLA... I just don't think I'm ready to be around all those people with out taking pills... not to mention my legitimate pain is overdrive today...ok too much about me hope everyone else is hanging in... it really does help. Is anyone aware of online NA , I'm not sure I'm ready to take the real one yet...

Well I didn't make it to my conference, I am feeling much better but then I feel like I've been ran over by a truck. I really do believe my eating habits have a lot to do with the problem. I have always been the type of person that I just "forget to eat", If my stomach hurts I just don't eat so I'm working on that.

I was just wondering how everyone is doing? Pablo (Paul) we were at the same amount of days, how are you doing... Mimi - how are you doing. I have a Dr's appt in May, I'm not sure what I want to do I haven't told them that I stopped taking the RX.. When I first started with my Pain Specialist I had to sign a contract. Will that follow me where ever I go? Anyway I just wanted to check in and let all of you know that your words of encouragement have helped.. I'm 33 day 792 hours..

Has any of you watched the Netflix show Shameless.... as horrible as it is binge watching it has helped me.. That is something I never want to be or would ever want my kids to see...

Bless all of you...

Hi Nanaluvslilly, I too am new to this board. Recovering alcoholic since 1985 but prescribed hydrocodone six years ago for a knee injury (never mentioned to Dr that I was a drug addict too) and have hated myself ever since. My sister died and all I felt was numb thanks to "pain management". A good friend and trusted advisor told me that juicing would help with my addiction. I started immmediately. The first day I felt so good I only took one pill. The second day, I took none. I am happy to report this "chronic opioid dependent" (my diagnosis on Rx) has been opioid free for 37 days!!! No withdrawal symptoms except for some minor stomach issues. NOTHING LIKE THE PAST COLD TURKEY and/or tapering hell where I got so sick I thought I would die. The only thing I did different was the juicing. IT IS A MIRACLE for me! Now I tackle the Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms that come and go ypthatvare mainly MENTAL. Going to see a therapist in late April who I know will direct me to NA. ADDICTION IS A DISEASE that cannot be cured, only managed. Good luck on your journey.

I wish I could say that, my body still hurts. No energy. Can I ask what you are juicing. I know I have have been on the Norco for a long time, but I really kept to my script. Glad you have 30 plus days and your feeling better.

What is Kratom? Is it substituting one thing for another?

Thank you Lill for checking on me. No I have not taken them. I have about 6 weeks without. They are still there. I don't really know what to do. My Dr doesn't know I have stopped taking them. I still have a lot of pain, and would like to know I can take 1 if I really need to.. again with the what if's.. what if I need surgery, what If I need a dental procedure. i don't want to be on pain contract with my physician the rest of my life.. but I don't want to explain to a pharmacist every time I need a prescription filled. I don't think about them often anymore..

I treated myself to a massage the other day, and I've even considered getting a 4/20 card. It's legal where I live, I've never used it before... Thank you so much for thinking of me again.. hope you and Paul and everyone else who has been here for me are doing well... the board got kind of quiet..
