I am once again trying help my daughter by not enabling . I have found some examples of soberity contracts, what I am willing to do to help her move forward. Has anyone used something like a contract.
I don't have any hope that she will recover. I think I just want to say I tried.

Don’t give up hope. Everyone is not the same and just because someone else wasn’t successful doesn’t mean that is true for everyone. I worked with someone that used Meth for awhile when she was young. She recovered and is doing well. Her parents came down hard right away and it worked. No enabling for them!

I used a contract years ago and it didn’t work out too well. Contracts are good in theory but you have to be willing to enforce the terms. My son knew I was a softie. He didn’t want to abide by any rules and I was not willing to make the hard choices. He could manipulate his way around anything I would say or do and I was too blind to see it. Finally I just gave up on the contract which was fine with him. He never believed I would follow through anyway.
