Just returned home from attending my daughter's wedding.She is another one of God's Miracle.A survivor instead of a victim.How do I say Thank you O Lord? -------------------- Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need |

The very first sponsor I had relapsed after 14 years of sobriety in 2009.He never could maintain sobriety after that . Multiple relapses and finally not even bothering to try. His journey and his battle ended yesterday.. Rest in Peace R....This song is dedicated to all alcoholics...those who have found sobriety ,those who are still active in addiction and those who never made it out alive... -------------------- Thank God for what you have. Thank you unsure. I will keep posting for as long as I am alive if I can connect to this site. Music has helped me a lot in my recovery . Sometimes in early recovery I would listen to music to help me overcome a craving. As bad as cravings can be if it is rode out it will pass. So next time if anyone has a craving give music a try.. ya never know it might keep you sober.. It did me.. :) -------------------- Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need |

I wonder if "Tom" is still around. The man who introduced me to this type of music back in 2008. The music has been a source of strength and inspiration throughout my recovery and indeed my life. I am a lover of music. It is a huge part of my recovery. I believe it is one of our Creator's greatest gifts to us and that the word of the Creator can be in the lyrics of a song brought to us by talented spiritual people. In order to stay sober I had to learn how to live life on life's terms. Sobriety must have a life of it's own if it is to survive. It cannot be dependent on anyone, event or circumstance. It took me a few attempts to figure that out. We all have demons to deal with, it is up to us if we let them win. We dont have to be victims of anything or anyone. We can be survivors..7 years ago I chose to be a survivor . You can too. . -------------------- Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need |
