Faced the truth without wanting or feeling the need to drink.

I put myself back on the list. With everything going on sometimes I have been neglectful of myself and my own emotional health. Giving myself permission to take a breath and take care of myself is a step in the right direction.

I worked (finished a proposal I had been working on), enjoyed time with my family, and enjoyed my life.

One positive thing I did today was to perservere and got my mum's roaming broadband synched with her laptop. I had to take 2 trips to the shopping centre near us which just happens to be the biggest under one roof in the southern hemisphere. That is a real disadvantage , let me tell you, as one has to walk literally miles to run errands . I walke from 1 end to t'other for 3 hours, then returned again and had the completed project. She is so pleased.
Agh. This followed positively a terrific day at home too!

Things only get better.

Today my 1 positive thing is to recognise my mum's birthday even though she refuses to have one with us. I am off to make her her cuppa tea and I have some out of season roses to pick for her.

My boys and I are much closer since my D&M talks the past week and now, mum is settling too.

Tis cool :)

Taking a dig through the past here!

One positive thing I did today was to cook a lovely meal for dinner and crank up the music and dance all round the kitchen while cooking. Felt good to be alive.
