Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times.
Mark Twain

Had to find a way to laugh about it, ain't it the truth.

LOL....I think my BFF, Ms. Katbird has quit at least 2,000 times.....

LMAO, just like me & drinking, I swore off alcohol every damn morning for about 5 years......sigh.

Eventually, though, it stuck. This is the time it'll stick for you too, Jane.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Stacey. I hope your right. The thing I have done different this time. I did not plan this. I did not bulls*** myself into a "taper' program. I tried the Zyban for two nights and chucked it. My dad said the only way to quit was to quit. I love him. He was smoking regularly for many years, in the last year he has had a harder time breathing. He quit smoking. He has a nebulizer at the house. I love my dad so much. I am proud of him.

I am almost to 5 months but still only have today. I love this thought. Over the last 16 years or so I have tried and had varying degrees of success quitting.. Just like Mark Twain said. Its the easiest thing to do. I hope I stay quit. This is the most success I have had in a while. Seems like some days its the most natural thing. Then some days I jsut want a smoke so much. Yesterday was rough I was super tired. When I am a smoker a quick smoke will keep me running on days like that. I have been super tired lately. I hate that feeling. I have been sleeping a lot better but i am still jsut drained. I hope I get some energy back soon. I know I feel better when I run but I haven't even been running. Time to get back to soem self discipline. I can get sooo lazy. I have been doing a lot of hiking though. So I am not that lazy. I am also going through this thing where I am so insecure. I am doing some step work with my new sponsor so it may be a product of that. I guess maybe I am growing. I dont know. Anyways I wanted to check in. Looking forward to my next milestone-and trying to stay in the day.
Still SMober & Sober.
Jane
