Hi firstly I know you're not doctors and can't give me medical advice and I also know you can't give exact answers for what I'm about to ask I'm just looking for experienced answers for a friend.

My friend has a family member who has abused his body for a very long time maybe 30 years or so he was / is on heroin injecting he has hepatitis C is on methadone, he's drank heavily every day and night for the past several years ( about 18 beers every day sometimes mixed with spirits) he takes other drugs like crack, he's currently 45 years old.

What is his life expectancy going off from what I've said? How likely is he going to die soon?

Interesting question. I googled the life expectancy of a heroin addict and the result was an average of 37 years, taking approx 40 years off the life span. However, I think we all know people with addictions who have lived much longer. I think there are so many variables it would be hard to say. It definitely takes a toll on one's health for sure.

I think it depends on if they get clean or keep using. Many die in their teens which greatly takes the whole average down drastically.
