This was a difficult weekend for us. My daughter’s friend lost his battle with addiction and passed away at the age of 20. It was a huge reminder that is a huge problem in our area and it doesn’t discriminate. His family is in my prayers as I can’t imagine the pain they are in right now.

I'm so sorry about your daughter's friend passing Alexandra 's Mom. It's very tragic and sad. My deepest sympathy to your daughter and his family.

Really the deaths are so common and all around us. I had a client who lost one son and the other was in the emergency room the next month. It is a national crises. And, so little help for the families. : ( I will keep you all in my thoughts tonight.

Thank you for your kind words. We live in an area where it is so bad that they just don’t report on it anymore unless there is a “bad” batch of something. I am glad my daughter is in a long term court ordered rehab facility that is almost 2 hours away. If she leaves she will be sent right back to jail to serve the rest of her probation.
