Beating Ambien
Fred

I began using ambien (zolpedim) in the hospital after an operation and continued using for a couple of months thereafter when my symptoms persisted. I quickly reached the point where I couldn't sleep or nap without it. When I knew I was hooked I sought my doctor's advice, He said to start taking two Tylenol PM tablets each night two hours before bedtime and tapering off on the ambien. I reduced my dosage from 10 mg to 5 for about 10 days, and then to 2.5 for 10 more. Then I just took the two Tylenol PM for a week and one for another week. I had a few sleepless night when I first quit the ambien, but they passed. After a month I was sleeping normally. So it can be done.

We are all different.
If you can do it - do it.
If you can't then get help.

I know a lot of folks who had a problem, realized they had a problem and corrected it.

I know a lot of folks who would be dead today (me too) if it weren't for AA/NA.

I know a lot of folks who came to AA/NA and left .. and are dead today.

I know a lot of folks who quit drinking/using and are miserable without meetings.

Once you know who you are and what you need then go do it.
Pain will tell us who we really are and what we need.

All the best.

Most solutions are spiritual .
