Liver Enzymes High ... Question
Joe

Hello. I'm someone who has been battling alcohol addiction for some time. Recently I checked myself into the ER due to high blood pressure. While there they took blood and gave me meds to bring the BP down.

Spoke to the dr because I expected him to say something was out of wack in my blood work. He said no but I would need to see a primary care doc as ill most likely need a prescription . I even asked 3 times if there was anything wrong and he said nope.

So they gave me a copy of the paperwork and I was looking through it. I noticed my AST / ALT enzymes were about 2.5 times higher than the upper limit ast:87 alt:135

Anyone have experience with this ? Did your numbers come down once you stopped drinking ?

Just curious others experience.
