I’m still sober
For me, that’s monumental
I should’ve been drunk by now; usually I would be
There’s definitely something different this time around
Thoughts have turned to the concept of self-medication
That’s exactly what I’ve done, off and on, for years and years
Had issues first so turned to booze
That was a mistake
I’m really trying to fix it, as well as deal with my pre-existing issues
I’m finally admitting that I have such

New thoughts, that's a great title. And that's what we do, we grow and stretch ourselves, and most importantly, we develop new thoughts! Yes!

Proud of you tired. I can relate to the feeling of it being different this time around. There is something that is inside of us that helps us to move forward with recovery that we didn't have before. I like to think it is the help and comfort of the Higher Power and that I was led to recovery instead of searching for it. The reason I say this is because on the first day I made that call for help that morning I had no intention of doing so. My day started as per usual, a drink with the intent to get as drunk as I noon I had made the call..You can do this . Believe .... keep coming back . we care

Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need

Thanks much
Yep on the day I made my decision it was normal for me too
I was about to go get beer and do some day drinking
Then I just said nope-no more
Every day since I’ve done research and am finding answers
I’m getting further away from the buzz and my practicality is returning
I’m going to do this
