including nights and weekends!
My sobriety/clean date is September 25, 2013. I went to the local AA Clubhouse on the actually date ( the 25th ), but I waited to pick up my medallion until today. I wanted to celebrate with my home group, an amazing ladies group. Sometimes I still can't believe it's real. But it is: two whole years! Now it's actually 2 years and 3 days! If you are a woman, I can't stress enough the importance of finding a ladies group in AA/NA. -------------------- " Many times I sought the lighthouse The familiar beam in the dark Looking for the comfort Radiating from its spark; Today I turn that inward No longer am I the seeker I am not just the lighthouse I am the light - And lighthouse keeper. Hey Butterfly,
Thank you for your support and kind words. Everyday I am so grateful... I am Greek, not 100% as I am a blend of North American immigration. But primarily, my least diluted ethnicity is Greek. And Persephone is also a play on my my given Greek name which sounds very similar. Persephone was the Greek goddess of the underworld. She was abducted by Hades, but gets to come out each Spring. The internet can explain it much better than I. But to me, it's a story of love, loss, redemption and ultimately peace with what is. It's go to talk to you. I wish you only the best.
