Residential treatment centers provide a multidisciplinary approach to addiction recovery. Comprehensive chemical dependency treatment services offer a structured treatment environment that begins with the withdrawal/detoxification process and extends through aftercare planning following residential treatment.

Services often include both individual and group counseling, structured physical activities, nutritional counseling, stress reduction, holistic approaches such as yoga, acupuncture and neurofeedback, vocational training, relapse prevention support, social skills training, educational services and 12-step recovery programs.

While residential treatment can be a fairly costly form of treatment, some facilities are affordably priced. These include Cri-Help, Day-Top, Better Way of Miami, Mountainside, Odyssey House, Phoenix House, and Samaritan.   Depending upon your insurance coverage, many of the centers in the mid and high range may become affordable. You can contact the customer service department at your insurance company and check your covered benefits. In-network benefits can be as high as 80 - 100%, while out of network benefits are often 50%.

Another way to find low cost treatment is through the Treatment Options section of our web site. Select Inpatient and Outpatient to find information on treatment locators and instructions on using those resources. Several that are of particular help to those with financial issues are:
SAMHSA: Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator (findtreatment.samhsa.gov),
Addiction Resource Center
(www.addict-help.com/statelisting.asp), and
Drug and Alcohol Rehab Services
(drugandalcoholrehab.net/Drug_Info.html).

It is important that facilities are licensed by the state in which they are located and accredited by a health care accrediting body such as The Joint Commission (jointcommission.org) or CARF.
