I am so glad,so grateful I asked God to come back. One week to go and I'll have only 5 months.Though I want more, I feel so good .I know created it but I escaped my own private hell. When I reflect, how could I have sat in my dark room;drinking and wanting to die? Now I have real friends.People who smile and hug me,they say I'm glad your here,I think of you. They offer me thier hands.I love God's gift of sobriety and what A.A. has given me.Now I have life. People no longer walk away. I feel loved and wanted.I refuse to go back to where I was. now I'm glad I did'nt stay dead.I now want to live.Being of service, wow that is so awesome. What God has done for me I'm amazed and I'm not even half way through.Last night myself and 5 other friends went to a planetarium show and had a great time...SOBER.Really I did'nt know that was possible.Thank you God!

Alvis, nothing fills my heart with warmth more than a post by a newcomer who's GRATEFUL !!

I have received all those gifts as well but sometimes I 'm not too appreciative... thank you for the reminder.
I do wish you the best !

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
