i just joined this forum in hopes of helping someone or being helped, i have 7 kids, 2 are strung out on pills one is on pills and crack, as a mom i never drank or popped pills, never ever while they were growing up, i am scared i will get a phone call one day they are dead, i love you all. and pray for you to have comfort and strength

Dear mommyof7,
You can find strength and comfort in a family support program such as Al Anon or NAR Anon. I believe this is particularly important for parents with addicted children. There should be a meeting near you, and I predict you will be welcomed and understood. Addiction is a diseasae that acts like a tornado in impacting people around it. Diseases need treatment - for the addict and the loving family member. Good luck and I hope this helps. | ||
