Hi, I'm currently on 80mg's of methadone and I hate it, it controls my life and I depend on it to function. I am totally clean off all other drugs and ready to move on with my life. I am taking my First Aid Level 3 and planning on getting a camp job up north. I want to know if anyone has experience coming off a similiar ammount, how long the withdrawal symptoms would last for if I was to go cold turkey?

Bad idea, I was on 70mgs and I detoxed slowly I went down 2mgs every week until I was at 6 mgs daily and even then the withdrawls were unbearable, much worse than heroin. Don't set yourself up for failure, do it the right way slowly and steady or you might regret it. Good luck
