What is Hydroxyzine Pamoate?
Hydroxyzine Pamoate depresses activity in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), which causes relaxation and relief from anxiety. Therefore, Hydroxyzine Pamoate is used to treat anxiety disorders and tension in stressful situations--before surgery, for example.

Hydroxyzine Pamoate may also increase the effects of other medicines, such as pain relievers and sedatives, so it is useful after surgery also.

Hydroxyzine Pamoate is also an antihistamine. It blocks the effects of the naturally occurring chemical histamine in your body. This makes Hydroxyzine Pamoate useful for treating allergic conditions, especially those that involve the skin, such as hives, itching, and rashes.

"Hydroxyzine Pamoate is used to treat anxiety disorders and tension in stressful situations".............about as much as anything else.It will be better than nothing. It sounds like it may depress the blood pressure like Clonidine.

Welcome to Attrax....an antihistamine which also works as listed previously for anxiety. Which I take for my allergies as well as panic attacks. I really have no idea if it will help with wd, but my husband did suffer from some anxiety durning wd. I do know that you shouldn't take it for more than 4 months.....
Now I looked into that and found that it has a way of building up meds in your system.....Be careful if you take this with anything else, even OTC stuff or anything herbal.....Ask the phamacists!
Here is a link to some info on it....

Sounds a little like Valium. Or is it Vallium. Also great if you're breaking out.

Sorry, I couldn't resist it. A sedative-type med that is given before surgery is also an effective antihistamine, and can also be used to treat rashes.

That may not seem strange to some folks, but it made my jaw drop open.

Break one in half and see what that does, maybe?
