Narcotics Anonymous will help you get clean. NA /AA saves millions of lives.
Look them up in the phone book or on-line. Get to the meetings in your area. All the best. Welcome,
I know how you feel, but it can be done, if your willing to change...just about everything. You don't give much detail about your use. How long has it been going on? Have you tried to quit before? If so, how? (rehab, cold turkey, meetings) Do you live with or near other users? I hope you come back and share your journey. If you have time, you can find mine here in the recoveredcrackhead thread. I too became a victim, prisoner of crack at the age of 40. It was horrific to say the least. Being a single parent with two daughters I knew the only thing for me to do was get clean or die. I was put on Adderal and I never had a craving again. I weaned off the Adderal in six months while heavily immersing myself in Narcotics Anonymous. Currently I have several years clean and am still very involved in NA. For me NA and working the steps was the only solution. My life is incredibly good today involving my new husband who I met in NA along with my two daughters. One of my daughters even became ordained and performed our wedding ceremony.
The hardest part for me was the initial letting go of the drug. I held on to it like I would die without it. As soon as I let go a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and the chains that held me prisoner were released. Good luck | ||
